Brief Summary:

Muscat Stock Exchange has three sectorial indices; Financial Sector Index, Industial Sector Index and Services Sector Index. Those indices consist of the top 15 companies relative to their peers in terms of liquidity, profitabitlity, and market cap.  All of them are free float value-weighted indices and are capped at 10%.

Objective:

The aim of these sectorial indices is to reflect the daily movement in each of the three sectors as well as depicting the share price movements.

Indices Methodology & Maintainance:

The sectorial indices are calculated the same way as MSX30, and their sample constituents are determined according to the criteria applied in determining MSX30 sample. It is important to mention that all indices sample constituents are modified simultaneously.
